Arc Skill Training & Products
The RTK Center workshops provide employment skill training for consumers. The workshops, located at the RTK Centers in Hialeah and Homestead, have been providing quality products and services to a variety of companies since 1968. ARC Products and Services provides individuals with a chance to develop employability skills and helps to develop opportunities for public awareness about their abilities through contracts with various businesses for a variety of services such as: packaging, sealing, sorting, collating, and light assembly.

The Adult Services Department operates this company, which fabricates items from recycled plastic. The lumber is made into picnic tables, park benches, trash receptacle holders, parking stops, etc. We are exploring various other products to expand our product line. Our products are constructed entirely of plastic lumber, which is composed of 100% post-consumer plastic. Plastic throwaways that would become part of our growing landfill problems, become instead, part of the solution

More durable than regular lumber, plastic lumber requires no painting or varnishing. It is resistant to graffiti and guaranteed against mildew, rot, corrosion and termites, making our products virtually maintenance free and indestructible.

PARKING STOPS

Our parking stops are made of solid, molded recycle plastic, and are used in parking lots to direct automobile drivers to parking spaces and to aid in reducing collisions. Parking stops are pre-drilled to allow for easy placement. They are available in gray or yellow or in blue to donate handicap parking spaces. These parking stops measure 5 feet long, 31/2 inches high and weigh approximately 42 pounds.

Our recycled plastic mall bench is a standard flat bench with no backrest. The bench measures 5 feet long, 16 inches wide and 15 inches high and weighs approximately 170 pounds. The unit is usually sold assembled. Mall benches are available in either redwood (RW) or gray (GY). Please specify color when ordering. Delivery: 30 days ARO.

6 feet benches are also available.

Our recycled plastic park benches are available in 5 and 6-foot lengths and are constructed of 100% plastic lumber. They are 34 inches high and 24 inches wide. The 5 foot bench has two legs made of solid, molded plastic for durability, is secured by galvanized steel hardware and weighs approximately 170 pounds. The 6-foot bench has a third leg of solid, molded plastic at the center for additional support and weighs approximately 220 pounds. Both benches are made with 2-inch x 5-inch planks for the seat area. Units are shipped with all necessary hardware and assembly instructions. Benches are available in either redwood (RW) or gray (GY). Please specify color when ordering.

PICNIC TABLE

The recycled plastic picnic table is standard 6-foot unit with attached seating benches on each side and is constructed of 100% plastic lumber. The table top and bench seats area made of 2 x 6 planks, and 4 x 4’ members are used for cross mounts, brackets, and braces. Galvanized steel carriage and lag bolt hardware are used in the assembly. The tabletop measures 6 feet x 32 inches. The height is 31 inches with the seat bench measuring 57.7 inches. The unit weighs approximately 370 pounds and is shipped partially assembled with all necessary hardware and instructions. Picnic tables are available in either redwood (RW) or gray (GY). Please specify color when ordering.

PICNIC TABLE, WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE

Our 6-foot table features a 1-foot overhang on one end for wheelchair accessibility, with the same design and quality features as our regular recycled plastic picnic tables. Please specify color gray (GY) or redwood (RW) when ordering.

TRASH RECEPTABLE HOLDERS

Recycled plastic trash receptacle holders are available in 20 gallon, 32 gallon and 55 gallon sizes and constructed of 100% recycled plastic 2 x 4 slats. The top inside ring is 10 gauge x 2 inch form steel angle rolled and the base is 10 gauge by 2 5/8 inch form steel angle rolled with 10 inch by 2 inch cross braces. Trash receptacle holders are available in either redwood (RW) or gray (GY). Please specify color when ordering. The units are usually sold assembled.
